EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND WELLNESS GOALS
Overview
Southern Spars is the world’s leading carbon fibre spar manufacturers, delivering world class superyacht and racing spars, carbon rigging and service. Post-Covid, Southern Spars made the decision to prioritise employee health and wellness and make it a core focus of their business moving forward. The many benefits of supporting and encouraging employee health and wellness, especially in the wake of Covid, made it an easy decision for Southern Spars to develop and move ahead with their plans. They reached out to Achieve Fitness in 2022 to collaborate on designing and furnishing a staff gym on-site.
Challenges
The proposed gym facility was limited in space and needed to accommodate both new gym-goers and advanced users. Keeping these aspects in mind, the challenge was set down to ensure the gym was welcoming for all employees, whilst also providing the best equipment to create a seamless gym experience.
Solution
Southern Spars and Achieve Fitness collaborated closely to create one fluid space that was easy for gym-goers to navigate whilst providing separate cardio and strength areas. The equipment and training resources were carefully selected to maximise the space which allowed for functional and purposeful use of all areas of the gym.
Result
The result was a gym that exceeded expectations by encompassing the Southern Spars’ goal of elevating employees’ health and wellness in a compact, yet comfortable and functional space. Southern Spars selected Achieve Fitness to partner with on this project because of the detailed consultation process, competitive quotes, and quality of equipment on offer.
